An article in today's Post...
Hello everyone -
If you skimmed the articles on the front page of today's Washington Post Metro section, you most likely discovered that a Chantilly High School Spanish teacher by the name of Matthew McGuire was arrested Wednesday. You may be wondering: I know Bridget takes Spanish; has she been taught by this teacher? The unfortunate answer is yes, he was my Spanish 4 (This year's class) teacher. I could always tell that his head wasn't screwed on quite right, but you can never see this stuff coming until it slams you in the face.
This morning it was very creepy to be in Spanish class, especially because I was the first student out to the trailer.
The Foreign Language assistant principal is working hard to find us a long-term sub. Hopefully we will get someone who will not ruin the rest of our year.
I will post this evening with details about my week.

Hi Bridget,
Yes I read that article in today's Post and I was wondering if you'd had that teacher. I hope he wasn't the one you told me was a Nationals fan! But if so, he should have spent more time at the games.
I know it can be tough changing teachers in the middle of the year. When I was in 6th grade our teacher at the beginning of the year just didn't show up after a couple of days. We never knew why. We then had a substitute for two weeks and got a new teacher, but then that teacher left at Christmas because her husband was in the Marines and got transferred. We got another teacher (#4) who made it to the end of the year. But that year ended up being a lost one in my educational process. I hope yours goes better.
