Camp
Hi everyone!
So, I know I haven't updated in about two and a half weeks. The reason is because I have been very busy with day camps.
July 9 - 13 I volunteered at Camp Funshine, which is an outreach camp, to gain Silver Trefoil hours. I worked at the Girl Scout Program center with the other Camp Crossroads teen staff person I was with last year. We were given a program to do with the kindergarteners through the third graders. We had a terrible time with those groups because the activities were either too advanced for the youngest of the group or too juvenile for the oldest of the group. The fourth, fifth, and sixth graders were doing a different program. It was fine for them. The two programs would have worked just fine if we had been able to switch the levels (brownie-age do the brownie version of what the junior-age was doing, junior-age do the junior version of what the brownie-age was doing).
July 16 - 20 I volunteered for the last time as teen staff at Camp Crossroads. I had a much better time at Camp Crossroads than at Camp Funshine. The adult leaders planned the activities and did all of the introductions/talking. We just had to help.
Next week will bring a lot of preparations for our visitors next week. I will also read a lot so that I can finish Silent Spring and start on HP # 7 before Cati (my 2nd cousin and HP fanatic) comes and wants to discuss it with me.
That's it for now...
