Today - December 7th
10...
...The countdown continues.
This morning I went to school early for a Friday (per usual, in order to catch my bus). I spent the time feverishly trying to read as much of my AP Environmental Science (APES) book as possible. The reason for this was because I have Holiday Spectacular next week, and I didn't have much time left for that this week anyway.
Spanish class was a little boring at times, although I did get 8 pesos (participation points) today. All we did was a warm-up and going over homework (last night's and one activity the teacher put off reviewing). We then read a little bit of the story we are currently reading for that class (a big chunk of the Spanish IV curriculum involves reading stories (in Spanish, of course)).
English class was a little boring (& annoying) as well. We took a really long quiz - all writing - that made my hand hurt like mad because I couldn't type it. My teacher then reviewed the final part of Hamlet and we finished watching one of the two versions of Hamlet movies that she ahs had us watching all along. We have our Hamlet test next Thursday, which I am not looking forward to mostly because it is near the end of Holiday Spectacular week.
Computer Science would have been a little boring except for the fact I really like that class. All we did today was go over homework, take a homework quiz, and start work on our labs (which I didn't quite understand and will have to spend some time at).
Environmental Science would have been boring, except presentations of a group project we had of different water situations was continued. After that it was only calculations of water data we collected from our houses.
Today I have quite a bit of homework to do because I have THREE tests next week (Government, Spanish & English). I also have some Trig homework to do, an article to read for APES to get it out of the way for next week, and the usual Spanish verb chart and vocabulary work.
Tonight I am going to church to fulfill the Holy Day requirement. I will be singing, as there are already three servers scheduled.
Tomorrow will probably be more X-mas decorations. Sunday I will be out all day. I am going to help with the collection and sorting of all of the Giving Tree gifts that are to be returned this weekend. Also, that evening the family has reservations at L'Auberge Chez Francois (I think I spelled that correctly :) ).
Next week, in case I haven't already said this about 30 bazillion times, is Holiday Spectacular week. I am not looking forward to it even though it is my last one.

Yes, Bridget, I do think you spelled it correctly. (Although technically there is one of those squiggly lines on the letter c in Francois, and maybe some accents in there somewhere too. But you don't have those characters on your keyboard.) However, now that you can spell it, you need to teach Grandma how to pronounce it. That will be a much bigger challenge!
And do you know what it translates to? I do.
